Our love of pearls comes from the natural quality of these beautiful and timeless yet contemporary gems, which provide such elegance and which never go out of fashion. Being a family business, it was in fact jewellery that was passed down to us which inspired our pearl pieces, including the multi chain necklace and bracelets which are inspired by a necklace that originally belonged to our Grandmother.

Pearls have knowingly been worn as jewellery for over a thousand years and have been seen as symbolic for high status and seemingly only fit for royalty within some cultures. Julius Caesar even passed a law only entitling ruling classes to wear pearls and they were often presented as gifts to Chinese royalty as early as 2300 BC. Our favourite story, according to legend, was of Cleopatra crushing a pearl into a glass of wine, to prove to Marc Anthony that she could provide the most expensive dinner in history.

We believe pearls are just as special as diamonds. Natural pearls are formed by a rare process involving living organisms. A magnificent natural process.
